The CIC Med Channel Race is a brand new offshore adventure in the heart of the Mediterranean. A captivating double-handed challenge aboard a Class40: From Marseille, via Corsica, Sardinia and the Balearics, before a triumphant return to Marseille. The start date is the 3rd May 2026. Departure and arrival in Marseille

The start of the first edition of the Med Channel Race will be given on Sunday 3rd May 2026 from the harbor of Marseille. The first returns are expected in Marseille after an exceptional course through Corsica, Sardinia and the Balearic Islands.

The Med Channel Race 2026 promises a unique experience for double crews, combining sporting challenge and human adventure on an exceptional Mediterranean course.

  • from Monday 27th to Wednesday 29th April: arrival of the Class40s at the Mucem dock

  • from Wednesday 29th April to Saturday 2nd May: measurement and safety checks

  • Thursday 30th April : schools day – press conference

  • Friday 8th and Saturday 9th May :

OPENING OF THE VILLAGE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC

  • Saturday 2nd May at 4:00 PM: crew presentation at the village

  • Sunday 3rd May 11:00 AM: departure of the Class40s from the Mucem dock

    at 1:00 PM START OF THE RACE IN THE SOUTH BAY

  • Friday 8th and Saturday 9th May : expected return of the Class40s to Marseille
  • Sunday 10th May at 12:00 PM: prize-giving ceremony
